Getting back to work 

As we look ahead to a 'new normal' and our suppliers begin to open again, we’re planning how we return to work and get back to creating and maintaining beautiful gardens across St Albans, Harpenden and surrounding areas.

We're now open for appointments so do get in touch. We hope to have our teams fully back to work by the beginning of June.

 

We’re playing our part

The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority so we’ve put in place new ways of working to maintain social distancing and mitigate the risks of working closely together. 

 

In line with government guidance, these measures include: 

 

• Maintaining 2-meter social distancing from customers at all times

• Minimising contact with customers by declining teas and coffees and not using customer loos

• Never entering customer homes

• Regularly using hand sanitiser that is provided in all vehicles 

• Staff are required to wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or more as often as they can 

• Where possible, we adopt a one man per van policy. When this isn’t possible we ensure windows are open for extra ventilation and hands are washed before entering and after leaving the van

• Staff are not allowed to come to work if they are not well – even with mild symptoms – or of course if anyone in their household is in isolation

• Where our staff do need to work closely, they are reminded to work side by side, or facing away from each other, rather than face to face if possible.

 

Achieving the right balance and getting used to these new measures will no doubt take some time but we’re determined to the right thing.
